Welcome, pilgrim, to the hall of Thrymheim.
I am Skatha - cousin and Wéofodthegn of Eorl Wulder of Ulfdael. I preside over holy ceremonies and festivals throughout the year. I am also daughter of Weyland the Smith, and I've been called the "wise bride of gods." My father was imprisoned by the Skanian king Nidoth, but he escaped with wings that he fashioned himself. In flight, he was struck down with an arrow that belonged to the mischief-maker Loftur. As weregild, the Ése offered me a wedding to one of their own, Niord. We were married only a very short time, for I could not endure the whelp. I left him and made my home in the snowy mountains, at my father's hall at Thrymheim. I as yet have not received proper weregild for losing my father. Until then, I do not recognize the authority of the Ése. My only loyalty now is to my cousin Wulder.
