Welcome to my Palace!

I am Niuserre Iny, King of Upper and Lower Egypt. I ruled for over 30 years during the Fifth Dynasty. I constructed the world's first obelisk, inspired by the primeval ben-ben stone. My solar temple also featured pylons, which remained a feature of Egyptian temples for the rest of pharaonic history.
My particular historical interests in Egypt are the Fifth Dynasty Old Kingdom. I was the sixth ruler of the Fifth Dynasty.
I have recently made my home in Iunu. To visit there, you may click on the Iunu sign below.

The last of the Fifth Dynasty kings,
Unas (c. 2375-2345 BCE) reigned relatively peacefully for thirty years. He is chiefly remembered as the first king for whom the Pyramid Texts were inscribed on the interior walls of his pyramid.
It was thought that exquisitely carved spells, incantations and liturgies of the Pyramid Texts would ensure the king's translation to the afterlife and his continued existence as a star.

 I am Pharaoh, of course!
