Welcome all Babylonians to my e (Bitum) in Babylon:
I am happy to re-establish myself back in Babylon, although I have been a refugee from the "Emirgir," Civilised People, or Kiengir, or "Black-Headed," people before being allowed to settle among the Babylonians, who are to some extent the cultural inheritors of many aspects of our great culture.
I have been made a citizen of the great city of Babylon by the then King Marduk Hammurabi, and was soon after befriended by the Great General Assur Zig Apilsin, who furthered honoured me by allowing me to be a member of his household, holding the noble rank of teacher to the palace children and advisor.
I felt happy and content as a teacher in Babylon, the greatest city of the age, and am now again am favoured by the gods by being allowed to remain in the great city of Babylon, as it is reborn!
I give thanks to Inanna and King Assur Zig Apilsin: To both I owe my good fortune to be well-placed in Great Babylon.
