Welcome to Sappho's Oikos! Here in Ancient Worlds, I found a home under the umbrella of the Socrates family, which I hold dear, because it is named after one of the most important philosophers Ancient Greece has ever known! And I myself am an admirer of the great female Greek poet and owner of a school for women on the Isle of Lesbos, Sappho. As You wander through my oikos, let my servants make your stay as comfortable as can be and let my music soothe you! Sappho is the author of the month March 2005 in Hellenike Paideia!
Here you see me in the garden of my school for young noble women. The man in front of me, performing with his lyra and singing to me, oh, I like that man! He's the famous poet Alkaios from the Isle of Lesbos, where we live.....He is all fire in his soul and I really love him, but oh...he's such a difficult man...! How will this fire and doubt in my heart be quenched? You are Sylvia Plath No matter how much you struggle, you can't manage to shake off depression. You use symbolism to express yourself and have a knack for getting the most out of gas ovens.
Take the Which Poet are You? Quiz - brought to you out of boredom and pretention!
