Welcome to my Per! As you wander through my house you will not only discover places that serve as my homebase for certain activities, you will also notice that it is still in a lamentable state with regard to content. I will add to the rooms eventually.
Thanks for visiting my home!

Claimer of Hearts
He Who Is Upon His Mountain
Your ancient Names echo in my mind.
Your Presence is remembered from
beyond antiquity...
In those early days in the Sacred
Black Land,
Men and women lit fires and huddled
around them-
Fearful of Death and the unknown
dangers in the darkness.
You came forth from that primal
darkness-
All long limbs and lean muscles,
Your white teeth flashing a dark
feral smile.
Your eyes-
Darker than the spaces between the
stars,
Gaze into the most secret realms
of every heart.
You were protection and solace
From mankind's greatest fear-
Death.
"Death is only the beginning."
You took their hand
And led them to the Otherworld.
In the Hall of the Two Truths,
You presided over the Weighing of the
Heart.
And on Maat's Scale, the heart was
weighed
Against Her Feather of Truth.
Light hearts that were pure,
Went on to rest and rebirth.
But heavy hearts that were filled
with darkness,
Were fed to the Devouress of Souls.
"Fear not, for few souls are found to
be too heavy.
For even then, the Gods take mercy.
Humans are both light and dark."
You reassure with a solemn smile.
For millennia, You protected and
guided mankind.
Your serene Presence assured that
Death was not the end.
Throughout Egypt
Your sleek Jackal image was
immortalized
On the walls of temples. tombs, and
monuments.
Then one day,
You became hidden
From the world.
Man remembered You not.
Death became the enemy.
Fear of the unknown grew
In the hearts of mankind.
The Ages passed slowly,
But Your patience was unwavering,
As You waited silently
In the doorway of our minds.
The doorway that is the gateway
between the worlds.
You knew the day would come
When man awakened and remembered,
That which had been forgotten for so
long.
When man again remembered
The Gods of Old...
And so one day,
I happened upon Your image.
I whispered Your name-
And Remembered.
Then with candles lit and incense
smoking,
I reached out to You-
As You were reaching for me.
The Peace of the Full Moon
Shining upon the desert sands.
The stillness of a cold
Winter's night enveloped me,
As You took my hand-
And my heart swelled with Joy.
"In the dark of the night,
Or under blazing sun.
In sorrow or in joy-
Ever I will be with you.
And when this life falls away,
I will lead you home."
A praise-poem to the ancient Egyptian God, Anubis.
