Welcome to the Himinbiorg, the great hall overlooking Bifrost. I am Heimdall, watchman of Ase, Van and Man.
"There is that place called Himinbjorg; it is at Asgard's edge by the bridge-head where Bifrost joins heaven. The God Heimdall lives there.
"Nine sisters gave birth to Him. He is the warder of the Gods, and sits there at the end of heaven to guard the bridge from the cliff giants. He needs less sleep than a bird, and can see a hundred leagues in front of Him as well by night as by day. His hearing is so keen He can hear the grass growing on the Earth, and the wool on sheep, and everything that makes more noise. He has the trumpet called Gjoll, and its blast can be heard over all the worlds.
"Himinbjorg is said to be the name of Heimdall's house; There the warder of the Gods glad in His gracious home drinks the good mead..."
