Castell Dinas Brand, the hillfort of the Brehyrion is located in the eastern half of the Ordovician territory in the Deva valley. It has housed the Brehyrions and Lords of the clan for as long as anyone can remember. Because no one knows of the time before the castle or has even heard of anyone who does, it it commonly believed that it has been standing there since gods created the world itself. The structure is impressive, like a sleeping giant, carved in massive stone. It is placed within easy striking distance of the lowland territories of the Cornovii in the region of Oswestry. So any enemy attempting to invade will be spotted early, giving the Ordovice warriors plenty of time to prepare. Not far from Castell Dinas Brand is the forts Moel y Gaer, Caer Drwyn and Caer Euni. In these forts or in their immidiate environs lives the larger part of the Ordovice population. This way they can retire in the forts if threatened. The entire area is built to stand against an outside attack.
On the southern side of the Berwyn range, there is a hillfort at Craig Rhiwarth deep in the Tanat valley at the very northern tip of Powys. This fort marks the boundry between us and our neighbours, the Cornovii.

The western part of our territory includes Dinas Emrys at the foot of Mt. Snowdon, Moel Goedog overlooking the mouth of the Tisobis Fluvius near Harlech, and a number of fortresses along the lenght of the Lleyn Pennisula, from Dinas Dinlle on the north coast, overlooking the southern Menai and Mona Insula, to Castell Odo on the south-western tip.
