Χαῖρε, welcome to my house!
My father has named me after the Titan who was a son of Krios and Eurybia, husband of Styx and father of Zelos, Kratos, Bia and Nike. He said this name means power and derives from phallos.
Last year my father died, and my mother followed him soon after. People say it was of a broken heart, and I never contradict them. So it will remain one of those countless untold secrets that she never mourned his loss. Neither did I. Is it a crime against the gods not to love one's father? Some philosophers say so, but if this is true the Semnai have spared me so far, for I inherited our small but venerable family business, a scrolls and copy shop near the Triangular Forum, which keeps me from starving. I live in one of the upper rooms ever since I was forced to sell off everything - slaves, removable artwork, and even the furniture - to cover the first payment for the debts my father has left me. Times are a bit rough right now, but I manage - after all my name means power. The wine might be sour and too watered-down now, but it will be sweet and strong again one day!
