I hope you will make yourself at home here in my okiya. You will find here many of the entertainments
that we geisha work so hard to perfect. In the chashitsu (tea room), you can participate in the chaji, or full tea ceremony.
This is my way of expressing and extending my hospitality to you. It is one of the skills a geisha strives to perfect,
so I hope you will join me. *bows*
In The Music Room, you will find
me working with my maiko as we train our voices and learn our instruments. We are the jikata of the performance,
while the other girls are the tachikata.
To learn about the differences and their significance, please visit The Music Room. There, you will find my academic pursuits and some terminology to help you learn more about the life of a geisha.
Should you wish to email me for further discussion, our minarai (a period of training prior to maiko) is standing by to assist you.

I have recently taken on the position of Shogun, or leader, there and am very excited about exploring the history of the geisha, as well as the whole Edo or Tokugawa (Shogun) period (1615–1868).
