If you have ever visited Hattusas the capital of the Hittites you would marvel at the size if the site. Sometimes enormous the walls stretch on over the hillsides encompassing what must have been an amazing city. The most interesting aspect of the Hittites for me is that in spite of the size and duration of their emoire, how completely they disappeared from history. We now know thaat they probably laid down an imourtant cultural foundation for the Anatolian cultures that followed them.
