My name is Legion. I've always wanted to say that. In this incarnation, though, I am called Beran Godwinson. My true age is unknown to all, including me. I have seen millenia pass since I first left my mother's womb, may she rest in peace. I have had many names and many careers through my long life. I am what I want to be at that moment in time.
I knew this land before the ice came and reshaped it. Those who claim this land are of my direct line, as are many others in the world. I have been, if nothing else, rather prolific in my, shall we say?, amorous endeavors.
My name, Beran, is a derivative of my original name, lost in the recesses of my ancient memory. Even I can no longer recall what it is. No matter. I have always taken a name that related to it in whatever language. Why? Because I wish it so. My mother, with her dying breath, named me. I will continue to bear the name until the day when I am finally granted an eternal rest, rather than the (sometimes) lengthy sleeps I currently endure.
