Welcome to my humble home beside the sea on ther far away islands that learned men call the Orcades
If you've got to my home you must have crossed the strait at love tide- but even then your feet will be wet. Come in and dry them off, while my wife finds some refreshing heather ale for you to drink.
We aren't grand people here- we fish the stormy seas and farm the hard land to live. But we can be warriors too, when our Lord needs us to be. We even helped him crush the Angles down in the south at Nechtansmere. I was there- I'm the middle spearman on the commemorative stone we put up to celebrate that great day. My ancestor, whose name I bear, also had his role in the restoration of the true line to the High Kingship of Pictland.
Normally, though, we're peaceable folk who like to see strangers and hear what's going on in the world. Welcome again.
