Now I have to figure out how to swing an ax *g* Thank you to the generous judges and the participants that allowed me to insult them and smiled when it was over. It was really a fun contest!
If anyone wanders into my homestead because they feel some of the facts I've found may be inaccurate, please feel free to have a beverage and a seat by the fire. There is only so much research a body can do, and I'm always open to corrections and/or new sources of information.
He's so cute! I had to pick him up!
I visited the Temple of Artemis
I have to sort some of these things out.
I visited the Temple of Artemis
I averaged just above 50% for all of these except the third down. I only missed on on that one!

Argh, found a great quiz at a friends' site;
My pirate name is:
Iron Bess Kidd

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!
Get your own pirate name from fidius.org.
Stolen, er borrowed from a book review;
I am the wind which breathes on the water.
I am the swell of the sea.
I am the light of the sun.
I am the point of the battle spear.
I am the God who gives fires to the mind.
Who announces the ages of the moon?
Who speaks to the setting of the sun?
I, only I.
(Thank you, Juliene Osborne-McKnight)

Sank, great game!

As well as participating in the Fianna board, the Band of the Red Poet will be posting in Tara soon. We're currently wintering in Inver Colpa, and we're on the road to meet the Cumhaill (or so we think....)
Aine Ui Cruithni is my alternate persona in Inver Colpa so I could follow my sept there for the winter.

What promises to be an incredible role play is beginning for the Cruithni in Cean Tir. I'm sure others would be welcome to wander our way but it would be great to have more people posting. Since I'm in Inver Colpa following my fennedh path I haven't made it across the "pond" yet.
For me-

Awwww, Kris Kringle gave me poetry! I love Yeats.

The Hosting of the Sidhe
W B Yeats
The host is riding from Knocknarea
And over the grave of Clooth-na-Bare;
Caoilte tossing his burning hair,
And Niamh calling Away, come away:
Empty your heart of its mortal dream.
The winds awaken, the leaves whirl round,
Our cheeks are pale, our hair is unbound,
Our breasts are heaving, our eyes are agleam,
Our arms are waving, our lips are apart;
And if any gaze on our rushing band,
We come between him and the deed of his hand,
We come between him and the hope of his heart.
The host is rushing 'twixt night and day,
And where is there hope or deed as fair?
Caoilte tossing his burning hair,
And Niamh calling Away, come away.
