Oikos in the ancient Greek language has a quite complex meaning. It is not only a productive unit, but also one of the most important unites of a society and its economy. My oikos is a traditional one. I am the guard of this oikos according to the law and responsible for the hospitality to Xenios Zeus. I will make the libation to Him, and I will offer you my best food and drinks.

My best meat, wine and barley bread are readily available for you Xene.
