Salvete! I have recently become the bride of Camillus, a Romanized Gaul whose real name I cannot pronounce! My cousin, Gaius Plinius Caecilius, was a guest at the marriage ceremonies, as were his Dear Wife Calpurnia and lovely baby daughter, Julia. I hope to welcome old friends and relatives (except Aunt Volumnia) to my new home where they will see murals painted by myself; Pompeiian red (my favorite)figures prominently in the color scheme. My Noble Spouse frowns upon my doing art work for Remuneration, and I must say I am relieved that there is no longer any necessity that I do so! Some work is being done in the garden, where an unfortunate accident in the fountain has necessitated repairs. For the time being, guests can take refreshment in the courtyard.
