Hawddamor!
I'm a young Briton from Rheged. My father was called Urien, and all I recall of my mother is that she was a witch of the Cerniw-folk. I ran away from home to escape having to become king of my father's country.
In my travels, I was enslaved by the Romans and taken to Gaul. There I became a servant to the king Esclados. He put me in charge of his exotic, gladiatorial animals. It was here I met Gwydyr, my lion companion. He was put in the arena against a giant serpent. The wyrm would have devoured Gwydyr in one swallow had I not stepped in and slain the reptile.
Gwydyr has been faithful to me since and even helped me escape Esclados's villa.
