Battle Grounds for the Hand To Hand Combat.

Welcome To The Second Annual Hand To Hand Combat Tournament of Germania.

If you have not signed up yet you may do so here: Hand to Hand Combat Sign Up, so you may be able to participate and win our fabulous prizes.

You will also need to pick up a coat of arms to represent you. They can be found here: Pick Your Coat of Arms.

What you need to do is simple -- just pick one shield that you would like to use
and let us know about it so he can help you resize it
for the games. I would also suggest that you make a second choice in case the
one you choose is already taken by another player. We will post it for you in the
Hand to Hand Tree after each round has been set. You can then post your shield
if you like, so we can all admire it and feel very envious.

Additional Explanations & Rules Have Just Been Added.

The rules of this game are simple.
First of all, you will need to find a marshal that will help you post the combat.
Desdemona Eurimedon will gladly help you in this task, so please speak to her about it.
Once that is out of the way you need to find a knight to battle against and then make an announcement about it in a post.
Again, Desdemona may be able to help you in this department.

All the rules of this game, and our other ones, are explained in detail here: Rules and Explanations. Please read through the rules carefully.

You should also have a look at the posts in this thread.
They will give you an idea of how the H2H works.
Keep in mind however that the length of each combat may change depending on how lucky one gets.
For this example, I was lucky to get a win in only two (2) rounds and this may not happen each time.

You will need to use a page (Player Action Sheet) to choose and send me the actions that you want to use in the combat, similar to how the Joust works, but this time you don't just choose a position;
You yourself add it to the Action Sheet and get a code tha you then send to me so I can play for you.
Make sense?

This is what you do, in detail:
Open the Action Sheet and keep in open for the length of the combat.
Click on the buttons to choose your actions, for the amount of five (5) points.
You will know how many points you have used as they are automatically filled into the little white boxes.
If you go over, a window will pop up and let you know so you will have to pick another action.
Then write down a taunt, if you choose to do so and click on Save Actions,
OR simply click on Save Actions without entering a taunt. This is up to you!
Now, select your actions, copy and send them to me on a gram.
I will enter them into the program, along with your combatant's and Voila!
I will then post them for you, and so on untill a winner is set.
Again, similar to how the Joust works.

As each battle between knights is won the winners will be posted in the combat tree below.
There you can also find who they will be matched against for the following rounds.
This will continue until we finally determine a winner.

The experience points awarded to past winners and contestants can be found here: Tourney Rolls -- in case you would like to have a look at who you may be facing and just how easily they can massacre you.

Since only men used to be able to engage in combat, or compete in any tournaments for that matter, we have changed the rules a bit.
If any women choose to join, they may do so at any time.
They will, however, need to follow the same rules as the men and will, of course, not be given any special favours.
Sorry about that ladies!
We will all just have to pretend to be men for one day. That should be fun, no?
A bunch of butch women kicking bum around AW...the men here will love that *g*

Anyway, I suggest you sign up now and read through the rules.
I (Desdemona), will be acting as marshal for the length of the tournament so do not hesitate to ask for my help.
If you run out of posts and would like to use another persona please let me know and you may post with that person.
But do keep in mind that you need to let us know before you start posting with them, or we won't be able to keep track of the winners.
