A new twist on the old "Carpenter's Cup" game from AncientSites, with a touch of "Awash in Chocolate, the Scavenger Puzzle". Brought to you by Americas' Aynara MorningStar, Topiltzin Tupac and Bryce Yupanqui.

How The Game Works
Search for the 24 puzzle pieces hidden throughout AW. When you find a puzzle piece, click it, and it will be added to the puzzle display here. When all the puzzle pieces have been found, trivia questions will appear below the puzzle. Answer correctly and be the first to Put The Cup Back! How To Play
1. Sign up for the contest. 2. On the morning of July 21 when the starting whip cracks, register your AW persona here to enter the search. Just one AW persona. 3. Start looking for pieces to the pictures represented by the empty grids above. Puzzle pieces are hidden throughout AW and are labelled "Put The Cup Back". When you find a puzzle piece, click it, and it will be added to the puzzle display here. 4. In addition to puzzle pieces you'll find trivia questions. If you click the correct answer, a puzzle piece will be added to the puzzle display here. 5. When all the pieces are found and the grids are complete, trivia questions will appear below the puzzle. Answer correctly and you will have the chance to choose the real cup from among many. Choose wisely!! If your choice is true, you claim the Carpenter's Cup and win the contest! During The Search
1. Each contestant gets a personalized scorecard. This pops open when you find a piece, or answer a trivia question. It tells you how many pieces you have found first, or if the answer you clicked to a trivia question is right or wrong. It also shows you the puzzle with all the pieces found by everyone. It refreshes only when you find a piece. 2. The puzzle grid is the same for all contestants. When you find a piece, all the hunters will see it too. So keep this page (or your scorecard) up and refresh it often! 3. If you clear your browser cookies, you will be prompted by the game engine to register again when you return to the hunt, but your score will be saved. |
New Intro to the Old Carpenter's Cup Game

You might have heard the rumors about a certain artifact stolen from Jot's Aerarium. They say it was part of the spoils he brought back from the forgotten edges of the AncentSites. Well, the rumors are true! How do I know? -- I've actually seen this relic, which they are calling the Carpenter's Cup. It's a thing of beauty, by Jot! Don't believe a word from Heraklia -- That "old harpy" is peddling her own tired collection of relics from the AS - tattered shrouds and rotting pieces of wood (Who on earth would collect such things!). Of course, she'd say that this enchantment cup is a hoax and has no magical powers. I don't know what to make of it, but at my age I could use some magic. I'm not one for superstition or bizarre eastern cults, but just the same I would like to get my hands on it. Whatever it's origin, the workmanship is superb... the carving is intricate... and I know scores of collectors, and of course fanatics, would pay dearly to get their hands on this thing. It is at large somewhere, among the hoods, boards and threads of the AncientWorlds, just as sure as we are standing here. But be warned, there are some fake copies lying around, so to find out which is the real cup may not be that easy. I have heard that Bryce has been put on the case to retrieve it in the name of the AncientWorlds and Carpenter's Cup Coalition. You'll want to pay a visit to Bryce or her minions Aynara and Topi over at the Blue Macaw. They're a little shifty, always with an eye on code, so be on guard... |
