 Rome Celebrates Its Birthday: The Gladiatorial Games (A Contest)

The Gladiators (and Gladiatrices) who sign up must write and post a description of their combat in the arena against an opponent or opponents of their choosing. Graphics may be added if desired but are optional.
Write your battle however you wish. Each post will be judged by your Editor for the day, Decius Aemilius, on the grounds of creativity, originality, and clarity.
First prize is a wreath of olive leaves and 8,000 sestertii.
Second prize is a wreath of laurel leaves and 5,000 sestertii.
Third prize is 2,000 sestertii and a wreath of gold.
All contestants will receive 200 sestertii and a plaque commemorating their participation in the munera.
