The Hill of Amergin
According to the old tales, this is the spot where Amergin, first poet of Eire, was buried.
To the south of the Niafer Keep stands an imposing hill. It commands a view up and down the Valley of the Boinne for a hard day's ride in either direction. It is here that Amergin, the first poet of Eire, is buried. Here also is a small cave where a young Flidais was wont to hide from the world. No more though, since she has taken on the trappings of Rian of Niafer.
The old wizard, Nevvyn, is also known to maintain a "hidey-hole" on the southern flank of the hill. Each morn he climbs to the top, to sing up the sun. He may then sit quietly until the day-star is high in the heavens, observing the comings and goings below.
