    Dunk A Roman

The Parthian/Roman delegation have come up with a peace treaty. Instead of all the worlds banding together to conquer the conqueror, they will instead vent their frustrations by dunking a Roman into frigid waters. Some brave *coughs* Roman souls have come forward as sacrificial lambs. They are:

Balbas Scriptor, the wonderfully lusty architect
Laurels Curius, the "drink 'em till you swim" Scribe
Livia Servilius, the "wet behind the ears" Scribe
Cornellia Cornellius, the ever so chic and gorgeous redhead with a saw
Julilla Sempronius, the "drop-splash bombshell" who knows her chocolates
Heraklia Aelius, the lover of Iulius Caesar

I will now turn the floor over to ApilIshtar Etana who will explain the rules.

All is silent as ApilIshtar takes the megaphone from the lackie "delegate". "Right," she says in a commanding tone, "so here's where we are. You, the people of Ancient Worlds, get to vent your frustrations on the overly-confident, Roman, pig-dogs." There's a screach in the megaphone as someone covers it and whispers in Apil's ear. "Fine," Apil mutters, "no more insulting the pig-dogs. Where was I now? Oh yeah...we are allowed to dunk the Roman-" she mutters an insult under her breath, "volunteers of our choice into this large vat of cold water. You are allowed three chances to throw the ball and hit the target. If you hit the target, the Roman-" another pause for a sotto voce insult, "you choose will fall into the water. If you do not hit the target, you must go back to the end of the line for another chance. You can come back as many times as you like, but be sure to let other have a turn after you!"

The delegate steps forward and wrestles the megaphone from ApilIshtar's grip. "I would like to add that the illustrious, honorable (meaning she won't take bribes and will be fair)," the delegate eyes Apil out of the corner of his eye, trying to convey a threat, which Apil duly ignores, "Caileadair shall be the judge of the contest. I am certain that we won't have any unauthorized dunking."

Caileadair's humor-filled eyes are not encouraging as she takes her place as "judge". No one seems to notice the lever hidden under the "judge's bench".
