Calling all tongue twisters! This table hosts a tag and rhyme limerick game.
This is a tag and rhyme limerick game. The first player posts an opening line~
"There once was a priestess of Luxor..."
The second player would post the next line, and so on, until the limerick is considered a complete work.
The player who finishes the first piece, by writing the fifth and final line of the limerick, writes the opening line to the next piece. Only he/she can post twice in a row.
Limerick writing:
A humorous verse of five lines, in which the first and second lines rhyme with the fifth line, and the shorter third line rhymes with the shorter fourth.
Additional Help
(by Oset Ramesses)
Some coaching for Table I-
Limericks are easy, once you get the hang of them. Using an 8-8-5-5-8 syllable, or 9-9-5-5-9 syllable guide can make it easier.
The 9s (or 8s) rhyme, and the 5's would rhyme.
Or you can do 8's and 7's, or any combination thereof, as long as the 4th and 5th lines are shorter than the first two, as follows-
A lovely young bud, TitiFawn
(8 syllables, awn)
Turned away when I flexed my brawn
(8 syllables, rhymes with awn)
As she bent for a flower
(7 syllables, ower)
I erected a tower
(7 syllables, rhymes with ower)
Then beheld the first crack of Dawn.
(8 syllables, rhymes with awn)
Got it? Just remember to adhere to the AW CoC.
