Anything which could be sold or traded: Grain, slaves, olive oil, ore, pigs.... The Phoenicians discovered the tin of Spain and Britain. This gave them a highly desireable monopoly.

Although Carthage produced many commodities, they didn't just deal in their own. Ships usually traveled around the Mediterranean in either of two circles, hugging the coast as the went - an eastern circle (Egypt, the Levant, the Hittites, Greece, Sicily and Carthage) and a western circle (Carthage, Sicily, Rome, Etruria, Gaul, Spain, and Africa). Whatever they had on the ship might be sold for even more profit at the next port: Sicilian grain, Spanish silver, etc.
