    Theodosius proved to be much more capable than his predecessor. The Goths just could not be beaten, so a compromise was made allowing them to remain in the empire. The empire still felt as one, so he meddled with politics in the west and was able to keep the east together well. He died a natural death a pious man. 379 - 395 AD
