Hall of the Slain.
The Waelhall is is also called the Hall of Heroes, where those who have fallen in battle, the Einherjar, are delivered by the valkyrie, upon death. The hall is roofed with rafters of huge shining spear shafts and tiles of golden shields. Here the warriors gather to prepare for the final battle and the end of the world: Ragnarok. Each day the cook prepares boar to feed the warriors. The warriors spend their days fighting and preparing, and they feast and drink mead and ale each night.
