Wisdom of the Druids
Like the bards, druids are wisdom-keepers.
The classical author, Diodorus Siculus, explains that the druid performs a special rite called imbas forosnai or "enlightening knowledge." As modern day bards, we still seek this ancient wisdom, especially the wisdom of inspiration. The Irish word for poet -filidh- comes from a root word meaning "to see." What wisdom comes down to us from the druids? Of what use is it to a 21st century bard?
