Taking a look at the last of the four Irish Cycles.
The last of the Irish Cycles relates to the reigns of some of the most famous Kings, such as Conaire Mor, Conn of the Hundred Battles, and Niall of the Nine Hostages, dwelling mainly on the nature of kingship, dynasties, and the concept of the king being wed to the land. This may be considered rather dry reading compared to the other Cycles, but in this body of literature can also be found some stories that embody the heart and soul of Ireland's unique traditions - "Buile Suibhne" (The Frenzy of Sweeney), "Cath Maige Mucrama" (Battle of Mag Mucrama), and "Echtra Maic nEchach Muigmedoin" (Adventure of the Sons of Eochaid Mugmedon).
