Exploring the earliest of the four Irish Cycles
The Mythological Cycle describes the first five waves of invasions that swept through Ireland - the Partholonians, Nemedians, Fir Bolg, Tuatha de Danaan, and Milesians. The Milesians probably landed in Ireland around 1000 BC. It is called the Mythological Cycle because it focuses mainly on the mysterious race known as Tuatha De Danaan, with tales of magical transformation and enchantment.
