It sounds like a dog and cat fight going on in the next room. We all hear it. This door should be locked. Not all of these rooms are open to the public. Could stray animals have gotten in here? The door opens when I push on it. Suddenly all is silence. The gilded interior is covered with dust and there is no sound of dogs and cats. Strange, how very strange, I think. The French court was very fond of pets. Every court lady had here little poo-chi companion. Louis the IV was said to have a cat who had the run of the place. 'The King's Cat' they called him. He may not have been so fond of all of those doggies.-
