For those who don't know me, I love making things and one of these things is wooden modelships. Right now I am building the Santisima Trinidad, or at least trying it, from scratch *G*
The ST was the flagship of Rear Admiral Don Baltazar Hidalgo Cisneros in the Battle of Trafalgar (Oct 21, 1805), where the British Navy, under command of Admiral Lord Nelson, defeated the combined French-Spanish fleet.
She was a first-rate ship of the line of 120 guns (when first built). Her armament was later increased to as many as 144 guns on four decks. For many years she was the biggest warship in the world.
This is (only) my second ship, the first one was a kit of the Cutty Sark
I used to have pictures of her on yahoo, but they're closing down the site so I've moved them and updated all the descriptions. If anyone is interested to see how I am 'tinkering' along my way, click here.
I have to warn you though...some things aren't done the 'traditional' way because at times I have no idea what I am supposed to do and just go by feeling. Any suggestions are welcome!
