I just wanted to let the power-that-be know that I've taken the liberty to edit the dates in the text in the Jomon and Yayoi thread's body - given the recent application of calibration to radiocarbon dates by Japanese archaeologists, as well as new discoveries, the starting date of Incipient Jomon, the first of the six Jomon periods, is now believed to be much earlier than what was thought a decade or so ago
