The first thing which needs to be said is that translating separate and single words from English into ancient Egyptian has its risks. Words and expressions are depending on, and vary according to context. And context often differs very much from what we may see it as.

I am using the Transliteration font when writing out the words, but I don´t know how that appears when you haven´t got that font installed. Also, that font doesn´t go well together with this site, I noticed, but you will be able to get a reasonable estimate as they are also given in italic, to somewhat clarify how they are pronounced.

World - the word for world in general meaning like we think of it is not to be found in either Shennum or Gardiner, simply because the same concept didn´t quite exist. However, the word ta, ta (pronounced ta´) means "earth" as opposed to sky, or "land" as opposed to water. It can also be used in geographical sense. What context are you seeking?

Water - has no less than five different words. The word you may want is mw,mw, the general form.

Sand - shey, shay, and that´s the one word I found for it so it should be allright. (This is where the transliteration font really gave in!)

History - again a concept which didn´t exist as we know it. It´s more likely they talked about tradition, time of ancestors etc. Sorry!

Story - the word 'Tale' would probably be the one to use. It´s called sddt, sddt

Future - no such word. What context are you talking about, that might give a hint to what word could be used.

Time - there are eight different words having to do with time. The one with a more general meaning is 3t, 3t. If that doesn´t do it, then again, the context might help.
