My friend and I have been making some movies for fun, but we were wondering about copyright infringement. Right now, we are just making short videos and putting music from movies (300, the Passion, etc...) in them. We are not making any money or sponsorships or anything like that.
But if we wanted to make a movie that we might play in public or charge for or get sponsors, what steps would need to be taken so as to not break any laws?
