I have assumed the appearance of a mortal man, thus enabling me to cross the dry lands of Taklamakan. I cannot use the powers I am used to while inhabiting this tellurian form, and I also may use them without wanting to. Why I am headed for the lands beyond the Taklamakan is none of your business. Maybe I will confide in you, but don't count on it. If you can bear my presence, I will join this caravan and pay my share.
