This is an idea that was posted by Sak Biyaan ShieldJaguar just as the Symposion was kicking off, so it very likely got missed by a lot of people. I tought I'd wait until that was over before bringing it to attention here. Hopefully it won't get lost in the end of Akitu and the Promethia.

We have talked about the problem of getting newbies really involved with their residences die to the lack of storage space they have for images. Perhaps it would be a good idea to offer a handful of images and backgrounds for newbies to start decorating with. (We still do this with avatars, don't we?) It wouldn't have to be a lot, maybe one background and two to three building/room images per world.

This would encourage them to personalize their residences to at least some extent, thus giving them a bit more emotional investment and more reason to come back.
