Farah was too a daughter of the Kadi but from the second wife of him, The Kadi had three wives already, since she spent more times with the sisters of her own blood she was oblivious of the continous agression that her half-sisters gave the beggar Ahmed, so when they called her to their house, and here we shall make clear that the Kadi kept each different wife in a different house, Farah didn't suspect anything, as a matter of fact the girls told her all the opposite to the truth, that it was Ahmed who had been rude at them and that they wanted to give the guy a lesson, it was only for that reason that Farah accepted to join this prank that costed so many lives.
Farah and her personal slave went out one day at sunshine to search for the victim of this terrible doing, Ahmed wasn't in the Market trying to steal a fruit, he wasn't begging on the main street nor was he taking a nap on a bench of the park, the guy was actually taking a nap on top of a tree and covered by the foliage (1), they realized he was there when a drip of drool fell on farahs slave's head, they tryed by all means to wake the guy but he was too deeply aslep, after getting a long wooden stick and pinching his leg Ahmed awoke, scared as if he had seen a demon, thinking he was being arrested again for loithering he started blabbering something about the non existance of a law prohibiting people to sleep on trees, then he realized they were not soldiers who had come to awake him.
"Salam (2) brother beggar" She said in her most sweet voice, "You are invited to a little reunion we're having tonight", Ahmed frowned in suspicion "Salam Lady...I prefer to be called Ahmed and im just half time beggar I work half of time too er...I pick up trash and...I help the butcher sometimes, are you sure it is me who you're looking for?".
Farah had to asure him several times that he was the one, she had already made a mental record of this fellow, part time thief, drunk and troublemaker, no doubt he feared authority, at that moment Farah thought she knew more of this guy than she really did, and she had no doubt that it had been him who had been rude with her half-sisters which was not so.
After much persuation Ahmed finally accepted to get into the Kadis house, he knew the Kadi's daughters but not the house where they lived, and that was just the begining of the disaster.
(1) And he did so fearing the attacks of the daughters of the Kadi more than he feared the soldiers who might arrest him.
(2) Salam is an Arabic word that means "Peace" and it's the most common salutation for the believers of Islam.
