What WAS it with this place? Everytime Akne tried to bathe some god or royal interrupted him. He would complain, but as it was, he was unable to move. He was so frightened at this time he would have certainly soiled the pool if he could have moved even a millionth of an inch, but as it was he couldn't even do that. All he could do was point at Neffy and watch the lice leaping about on her head- happy they had been spared more dunking.

Sobek moved forward, close to Akne's face. He was so close Akne could feel Sobek's breath on his face. Akne could not help but wonder if Sobek had a mint he might chew on or something; that breath was vile.

"You have defiled this place again and again" Sobek hissed. "My servants have been burned, my food stores have been eaten and the holy places have been looted. There is only one fit punishment for one so cntemptuous of the gods."

As was often the case, Akne was confused. He had done many things down here, but loot holy places? burn servants? eat food? Maybe drink wine and bathe...but those were not this guys complaints. In fact, the looting and eating sounded more like Tayfun.

"ANSWER ME" Sobek screamed in Akne's face. the smell of rotting garbage filled the room. "Mint?" Akne said involuntarily. Sobek reared back. His mouth opened wide and Akne thought he was going to be eaten, or at least bitten into two pieces. In either case, he was certain he would not like it.

A chuckle came from Sobek's belly. " I am going to so enjoy killing you" Sobek laughed. 'but first, I want a response." AKne swallowed hard. He could not tell Sobek that he sustected Tayfun. Tayfun was his closest friend, his buddy. On the other hand, Akne could be eaten.

"I have never eaten food down here, burned anyone or looted anything' Akne said. "That all sounds like Tayfun.He is up at the watering hole. I can get him for you."

Sobek glared at Akne. " You would betray a friend. Why would I trust you to do anything. " Looking at Neffy, Sobek moved in close and whispered. "You are going to bring me this Tayfun. If you do not, I will destroy this man...and the watering hole too.
