I saw the History Channel program last night, Engineering an Empire: Byzantium. Is this the same program? Was typical of the series... gloss over the subject. Same old stuff presented by Peter Weller in his "valedictorian of W. Shatner's School of Overacting"-style. Yes, the dome of Haghia Sophia got some attention, but the show could have been called "20 Minutes on the Life of Justinian and 24 More Minutes on Other Stuff Byzantine." I wasn't impressed.
