Every new member enters Where Animals Speak as a Newling at level one.

Unfortuneately, even though W.A.S. is an open group, it still requires a level two before the member can post. So, as soon as I see the New Member notice, I dash in and promote every Newling to at least level 2 which is Loner. Now the new member can post. How often/much the loner contributes to the group will help determine when/if they are promoted to level 3. hopefully one day soon I can find an Oracle or two or three to help out with the promos and admin of the group.

Promotions to a level 3, Chorus and Adventurers are chosen by the promotee. The differences in title is that (1) Adventurers are the travelers, questors and so on. Those who don't stay in one place long for one reason or another. The Chorus are those who have more permanent residences, the backbone of the communities.

Next, level 4 promotees have and are willing to take on more responsibility and contribute regularly to the group.

Level 5 requires the Oracle(s) to do the most and the description of that level's reaponsibilities can be read if you click on "Oracle" in the side panel. The same holds true for the other positions.

And level 6. Sorry, that's one's taken. *big cat grin*
