A&A Art and Architecture: Ravenna.
A series of old black-and-white prints, mostly pictures, of the monuments in Ravenna. B&W takes away from the beauty of the mosaics but most of the architectural pics are very clear: one can also make a search for architectural components. I'm not sure how old the pics are: some are from the Fifties.
Some details (you can click on the images to see them larger):
Plans of San Vitale
Mausoleum of Theodoric, very Gothic - that is lugubrious! It is now in an open green space and the building to the right is gone.
Mausoleum of Theodoric. Is that an opening that can be seen on the upper floor through the door, where now is the closed little apse?
Drawing of the Mausoleum of Theodoric by Piranesi.
Sant'Apollinare in Classe standing in the desert. Now it's surrounded by a nice garden, with a restaurant and a parking lot nearby, and the growing town of Classe: it's very orderly and well-kept, but that pic has a certain desolate charm.
