Glen Fox as Alexander Alexander enthusiasts may be interested to hear of a new play based on the life of Alexander the Great being performed in London from 1st - 4th November '06.
"Killer of the Sun" by Peter Sturm performed in the historical site of the original Rose Theatre, Bankside, SE1. Wed 1st - Sat 4th Nov at 7.30pm & Sat 4th at 3pm. Tickets £10.
The first part of a trilogy it focuses on Alexander & his parents King Philip and Olympias. Although based on meticulous research it is an imaginative journey into the life of Alexander. A unique opportunity to see a drama on Alexander. A team of eight actors and a bouzouki player offer a highly dramatic evening in a theatrically charged setting. The Rose was where Shakespeare learnt his craft & even appeared on stage, it is now an archaeological site & national monument. A version was performed last December - see Tom Holland's earlier posting.
