Racing from a cloud of dust the two knights charge toward each other, lance coronels seeking their marks! Sir Spethi taking aim at the helmet of his opponent; he displays considerable skill maneuvering his horse close to the course barrier. Sir Ealhstan misses his mark! The crowd's silence only broken by a few boo's and hisses. Sir Ealhstan does not need a new tilting spear for the next course. Sir Spethi misses his mark! The crowd's displeasure is evident from the silence which is broken only by a few boo's and hisses as Sir Spethi returns to his end of the course.
