    Although it's a bit removed from my usual course of study, I started reading this work by Alev Lyle Croutier. It is probably the seminal book on this subject and if for no other reason, just the color plates of the Orientalists would be enough.

    How did I come to this work? Hafise recommended it. And since I've begun helping her with the Hittite portion of Anatolia, it seemed a good idea to branch out, as it were.

    I'm enjoying it immensely. It is authentic, and for a history text, quite readable.
