    The typical Minoan pillar seems to have been made from wood, painted some carmine red, and strangely inverted: thicker at the top than at the bottom. There are some "reconstructed" exemplars in Knossos (see picture), made of concrete and adorned with some stripes and pillar heads dreamed up by Arthur Evan's fin-de-ciecle artist renovators. There are some original images and models of these pillars (which seem to have been quite ubiquitous in Minoan architecture) like the clay model shown here. And again, my 3d-model as clumsy as I can make it.
