Despite my efforts I cannot remember a time when we found ourself with so many available citizens for the service in October!
Also, since Hannibalic war days, never we had so many active legiones as this year!

The fact about 40,000 citizens be still available shows we already have too many active legiones and that they did not fought.
There are legiones that since months are still waiting for orders, and I'm not thinking to Epirus or to those legiones with garrison duties.

Cordatus, how can you affirm that since we have money and men, we have to mobilize two new legiones? To do what? To stay at Barcino along XXV and XXIV, except fall in ambush while wandering without precise orders?

Not only, due to the riot in Roma, we cannot mobilize this month.

"A lot happens in two months and already we are voting a proposal that establishes a truce between Rome and Aquitania." Aquila says?

Apart the months are more than two since it is just mid October, that turperrima proposal WOULD establish IF will pass... the Roman people is no more able to keep is word!

This proposal is madness, as mad is who I heard saying that Aquitania has to become friend&ally of Roma!

What Aquitanians did for Roma further than INVADE Narbonensis?
They fought a battle against a common enemy? They fought for THEIR INTEREST since that enemy was first their than Roma enemy.

On the other hand they are Gauls, what do you expect from them? Loyality? Loyal as the other Gauls in Narbonensis that refused to contribute in defending their lands against the Germans!

    Poor Roma!
    Dei nobis parcere velint!
