A vision of beauty, all attention and time with it stopping as she walked into the room and I'm certain she didn't even bat an eye.
"A new fella in town, Albert Casey something," I reply to the question. "He's got a good beat, keeps a decent crowd." I offer her my flask, jazzing up her drink a bit, as Mac is careful to run a dry bar before late, when the cops head home.
"Merci," she replies, passing it back. I tuck it safely away.
"You're new in town," I say to her, her accent as melodic as it is unavoidable. She smiles, nodding a little, sipping her drink. "Tell me," I say leaning closer in curiousity, "What is a vision like you doing in a town like this?"
