when the announcement came over the PA system that FDR was dead.
On VE day, my sister and I went downtown (small town) and rode on runningboards and hugged men in uniform and laughed and cheered.
I was married just before a period of mourning was declared for King George VI, or I would have had to wait until the mourning period was over.
For the moon landing, my teenaged son found out how to take pictures of the TV screen, and he took a picture of Neil Armstrong stepping onto the moon.
I forget where I was when JFK was killed, just remember the shock.
I was home watching TV when Dianna was killed.
And I was checking the weather channel on nine/elven. I was so shocked then, that I just stood for a while staring at the screen in disblief.
I think I have definitely dated myself!
