I am GREEN with envy at the success of the Celebrations in Paris! *sulks* (incidentally, Clovis was Theodoric's brother-in-law...)

Just joking. I had the time of my life at Queen Desi's court! I got massacred but I also got kissed, and at least I didn't re-enact the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in a bathroom. *grins hugely and looks out for Zombie Queen*

This set me thinking as to what exactly my court (meaning Aelfwine) and I could do to showcase our lovely Ravenna. We had various ideas, but we visualized them as added one at a time. And if instead we burned them all in one big bonfire during a celebration like those in Paris? And finding a way and a reason for people to stay around even after the festival is over?

The possible ideas till now are:

    - Virtual tours of some monuments. (We have excellent architects.)
    - A quiz.
    - An ongoing RPG? Risky but fun if we manage to pull it off. About Gothic Ravenna, or Byzantine Ravenna, which is possibly better-known.
    - Draining marshes does not inspire poetry, but maybe we could find a way for the artistically gifted out there to express themselves. Make your own mosaic?

I'm sure there's lots of other things to do. I just had to download these from my brain, and the occasion won't be soon. But get your creatice juices flowing as if it were for YESTERDAY!
