    Upon Hamilcar's advice, I took out the LT battery, booted using only AC power; I blew off any dust that might be on the battery and the connection, reinserted and rebooted. The battery is now charging further than it had previously. The problem seems to be solved. Hamilcar's simple solution saved me over $100.00! Hamilcar is the bomb! Thanks! *S*
