I think a Worlds' Fair is an intriguing prospect Joseph, but I question it's suitability for this Goldfest. Some points which come to mind are:
- Goldfest is basically a worlds' tour attempting to inspire AW "cybertourism" between each world. Yesterday one went to Hellas to see and learn that, today it's off to the Orient for this, and then tomorrow onto Germania for something unique there. The theme, Around the Worlds in VIII Days, reflects this notion of traveling. A Worlds' Fair would be bringing all of this together in one locale.
- Since Goldfest is meant to bring in members to visit each world and see what it has to offer I'm not sure other worlds should be bringing their things to the Americas, especially while the Americas is attempting to show off its own.
- Americas' theme this year is Northern Spirit, and my immediate thought was that a Worlds' Fair doesn't fit.
I think it's an interesting idea though, honest. As a stand alone event it may get more publicity for Chicago than as a portion of Americas Goldfest anyhow. But I'm one person, if someone comes up with a great way to incorporate this - so be it. If not, let's keep this idea a float and do it grand, down the road.
